A nossa entrada está a ficar muito composta. Resolvemos pintar o corredor em duas cores: 2/3 em branco e 1/3 num azul-acinzentado (eu queria uma cor mais esverdeada mas não consegui encontrar “aquele” tom). Está a ficar com um ar fresco e moderno, mas simultaneamente clássico qb para uma casa antiga.
Agora falta forrar o sofá de palhinha e fazer uns cortinados para a porta (as correntes de ar deste corredor são inacreditáveis… há frinchas e frestas em todo o lado. Bem dizem que as casas neozelandesas têm grandes problemas em termos de isolamento).
Ainda há muito trabalho pela frente, mas sabemos que vai valer a pena!
Our hallway is coming out very nicely. We’ve decided to paint the corridor in two colours: 2/3 in white and 1/3 in a greyish blue (I was looking for something with a bit more green in it but couldn’t find the perfect shade). It’s turning out quite fresh and modern but at the same time classic enough to suit an old house.
Now we just have to reupholster the cane sofa and sew some curtains for the front door (this corridor is incredibly drafty… there are little gaps and cracks everywhere. I’ve heard that NZ houses have got great insulation issues).
There’s still a lot of work ahead of us but we know it’ll be worth it in the end!
