Este Natal recebi imensos presentes tricotados pela minha mãe para sobreviver ao Inverno inglês. Entre eles, esta boina feita com uma lã excelente, a partir destas instruções. Que bom que foi poder usá-la num dia de sol e neve, o meu primeiro dia em Inglaterra! Obrigada, querida mãe!

This Christmas I received lots of things hand-knitted by my mum, all made with English winters in mind. Amongst them I got this beret, knitted with this excellent yarn and based on this pattern. Wearing it on a sunny, snowy day – my first day in England – felt so good! Thank you dear mother!

2009 foi um ano em cheio, e os últimos dias não poderiam ter sido mais atarefados. Tenho tido saudades de escrever no blog e peço-vos paciência para estes primeiros tempos. A mudança está feita e muitos outros assuntos finalmente tratados. Hoje é o último dia de 2009, um ano que se revelou muito generoso para mim! Fartei-me de trabalhar, apareci em revistas, passei um Verão excelente (já não tinha tantos dias seguidos de praia há uns anos) e dediquei-me a 100% ao Saídos da Concha (a tese de mestrado ficou para trás). E agora, 2010 em Inglaterra!! Obrigada pelas vossas visitas, comentários, apoio e boa-disposição. Bom ano!

2009 was a very full year and the last days couldn’t have been busier. I’ve been missing the blog and ask you to bear with me for the next few weeks. Our belongings are all packed and several other issues have been dealt with. Today is the last day of 2009, a year that was very generous to me! I worked a lot, was featured in magazines, spent an excellent summer and dedicated myself 100% to Saídos da Concha (the thesis was left behind). And now 2010 in England!! Thank you for your visits, comments, support and good mood. Have a fantastic new year!
