Uma das minhas actividades preferidas é coser para bebés. A Ayda (do blog e instagram Cafenohut) publicou recentemente o livro Made for Baby e convidou-me para participar na blog tour. Há um baby boom à minha volta e o livro foi a desculpa perfeita para fazer-lhes um presente feito em casa. Ou melhor, três!

One of my all time favourite activities is sewing for babies. Ayda (from the blog e instagram Cafenohut) recently published the nook Made for Baby and she kindly invited to take part in her tour. There’s a baby boom around me and the book was the perfect excuse to make those babies a handmade gift. Or three!

Tive dois bebés em mente quando escolhi os projectos deste livro: uma rapariga que nasceu há pouco tempo e um rapaz que nascerá em breve. Para cada um deles fiz três presentes: uma estrela em tecido que é simultaneamente brinquedo e anel de dentição, um babete e um muda-fraldas.

When I chose which projects to make from the book, I had two babies in mind: a girl who was born a few weeks ago and a boy who’s going to be born soon. For each of them I made three presents: a patchwork star that’s both a toy and a teething ring, a bib and a changing mat.

Adorei fazer cada um destes projectos: são simples, giros e úteis. Sempre que coso para um bebé dou por mim a pensar muito nele. Que personalidades terá? Gosto de imaginá-lo a usar as coisas que fiz para ele e conto os dias até poder conhecê-lo ao vivo.

I really enjoyed making each of these projects. They’re so simple, cute and useful. Whenever I sew for babies I think a lot about them. What will they be like? I love to imagine them using the things I gave them and I find myself counting the days until I get to meet them in person.
