One of the advantages of living in the Midlands is how easy it is to go to London for the day. Last Saturday Tiago and I took the train and two hours later we had arrived in the capital city. We spent the morning in Spitalfields and Brick Lane and in the afternoon we went to the floral demonstrations in the King’s Road branch of Anthropologie. Visiting any Anthropologie never fails to impress because, as Tiago said, they don’t just sell clothes, they sell a whole experience. This floral demonstration was performed by The Real Flower Company and in the 30 minutes we stood there watching we saw how to make a hand-tied bouquet with roses, rosemary, mint, sage, jasmine and eucalyptus and a small table centre with roses, lavender, sweet peas and jasmine. I absolutely loved that horizontal vase and Tiago bought it for me! But what struck us the most, in addition to all the colours and forms, was the amazing, pungent scent of all the flowers.

De vez em quando, dou uma olhadela ao site da Anthropologie e fico rendida durante algum tempo. Nunca tive a oportunidade de visitar nenhuma das lojas, mas adorava ter a possibilidade de ir um dia destes! A jarra é super original…muito bonita!

Estive pela 1ª vez em Londres no passado mês de Março e de facto é uma cidade magnifica. A quantidade de actividades, de locais , de pessoas de experiencias… Agora imagino me a viver ai próximo e ir a Londres, como quem vai aqui a Lxa…. que sorte a sua.
Qualquer dia, sigo lhe o exemplo e mudo me de armas e bagagens…

The next week we will be london with my younger sister for a week. We are very excited. one of our friends live there with English husband and a their adorable girl. And we are planning to go to Anthropologie. I want to buy something for our home. I love their products….

Esses arranjos tão campestres fazem-me lembrar os “arranjos” que o meu pai muito à maneira dele sempre me oferece no meu aniversário!! Directamente da horta, que ele próprio cultiva, mistura flores com ervas aromáticas, cidreira, hortelã, alecrim, ervilhas de cheiro, etc.. são sempre originais e únicos! Adoro!
Também tenho uma jarra horizontal idêntica a essa que trouxe de Milão!
