Vim da Cornualha profundamente impressionada com quatro cores: azul, verde, cinzento e branco. Vi variações de todas elas nas paredes, portas e janelas, nos campos, no céu e no mar. Adorámos a região – é uma Inglaterra completamente diferente daquela que conhecemos. E que bom foi voltar a ver o mar!
I came back from Cornwall deeply impressed with four colours: blue, green, grey and white. I saw variations of all of them on walls, doors and windows, in fields, in the sky and the sea. We loved the region – it’s such a different England from the one we know. And it felt great to be by the sea again!

Quando comecei a ver estas fotografias pensei: “Em que lugar transmontano é que ela esteve?” O granito e as casas são iguaisinhas, ou é impressão minha? Até aquelas camélias na entrada (são camélias, não são?)me fazem lembrar o Norte do nosso país, estarei enganada?

I would love to go to Corwall, it´s such a beautiful place!!! Have you read the novel of Rosamunde Pilcher The Shell Seekers ?
It is a story set in London and Cornwall between World War II and the present, about the Keeling family, and of the passions and heart-break that have held them together for three generations. I really recomend you, she describe very well life in London, in the coast and in the countryside.

i loved these so much, they remind me of a rough winter near the sea… with rough waves and lightnings. but the colours, the bright ones are so beautiful… and i loved that house with the hunter boots outside!! i want those red ones! 😉 hugs, twiggs
