For me, a morning well spent in downtown Lisbon means visiting traditional fabric shops as well as some haberdasheries. Today I wrote a little guide on the subject on My Daruma.

Thanks for the Lisbon visit. They say 'Old is Gold' and it's quite true. These shops reminded me of India where there are plenty of shops like that.

I can't wait to visit Lisboa!! I think I am going to fall in love with it, first i need to save some money to spend in this lovely shops!!! When I go I will ask for some tips about where to find good fabrics, and antique shops.

Oh as lojinhas por onde eu ando também 🙂 É uma pena os tavares serem os únicos com Chitas – também sou cliente deles. Confesso a rua da conceição está munida de lojistas mal educados e diria até preguiçosos lol tento ir sempre à mesma mas à vezes lá tenho que fazer um esforço para entrar numa onde nem um bom dia recebo. Vá que na Brancal já fiz amizade visto ser habitual e são muito acolhedores e prestáveis 😀

Thank you for these pictures! I might be visiting Lisbon for a couple of days in early October and when I was trying to decide if I should go or not, I saw these pictures! You reminded me that I can get the best coffee and pastries in the world if I go! And these shops are probably full of delights!
